The newly renovated hotel was reopened on 30 August 2021. Formerly “The Hotel Darmstadt”, it was renovated and rebranded “greet Hotel Darmstadt” and comprises of 194 hotel rooms in different categories. The main focus of the hotel is the event and conference market, where the hotel is one of the largest meeting and event venues in the Rhine-Main-Neckar region.

Warimpex acquired the building in 2019 and refurbished and adapted it to the Accor brand “greet” while the operation was reduced due to the pandemic. The “greet” brand was founded in 2019 and stands for a cost-effective, efficient and at the same time ecologically sustainable travel experience. This philosophy is also reflected in the new “greet Hotel Darmstadt”, which is only a few minutes’ walk from the main railway station and the city centre and is also easy to reach by private transport. The journey time to Frankfurt Airport is just 20 minutes.

The hotel concept is characterised by thought-through functionality that goes hand in hand with a modern and open design. The lobby is flooded with light and has a modern design with a lounge area and a bar. The game lounge, which is open around the clock, with table football, billiards and other games, provides a balance to the strenuous business and workday, as does the in-house fitness studio with Matrix equipment. Selected à la carte dishes, as well as local wine and beer specialities, are offered at the lobby bar. For breakfast and lunch guests can use the in-house dining area, which is also used for meetings and events.

With a total of 330 hotel and long-stay rooms, over 4,500 square metres of conference, event and exhibition space, as well as 800 square metres of office space that can also be rented on a short-term basis, this project is one of the biggest conference and event centres in the Rhine-Main-Neckar region.
