Business in Harmony with ESG

Striving for climate neutrality is an important goal for the European economy, and at the same time poses quite a challenge for entrepreneurs. At the conference, "Business in Harmony with ESG", organised by Warimpex, in cooperation with Invest in Łódź (Central Poland) and CBRE, we sought answers to the questions of how entrepreneurs in Poland can pursue ESG goals, what challenges they face, and how individual industries can support each other on the road to decarbonisation.

According to the experts who attended the meeting, an important element in decarbonising the Polish economy is education and systemic support for small and medium-sized businesses. Advising them on how to reduce their environmental footprint, as well as a cooperation between the public and private sectors to develop optimal practices for achieving ESG goals, is paramount.

The office real estate industry has much to offer in this regard. Not only is it intensely focused on reducing the environmental footprint (E) of buildings, but also redefines the function of the office in the day-to-day life of the organisation with the help of modern design solutions. Thereby, it is able to offer its tenants solutions that support work comfort and employee well-being (S), as well as a modern approach to corporate governance (G) that meets the needs of today's employees and employers.

Among the speakers and partners were Anna Wierzbicka, PhD (Urząd Miasta Łodzi), Monika Marcinkowska (Uniwersytet Łódzki), Anna Jarzębowska (CBRE), Jaroslaw Witek (CBRE), Małgorzata Niewińska (CBRE), Jerzy Wójcik (JWA ), Przemek Blasiak, Jan Chojnacki (Vizonare Inc.), Ewa Zagórska, Dominika Stygar (dotted space) and Krzysztof Skowron (ING Bank Śląski).
