In the German “city of science”, Darmstadt, Warimpex owns a hotel as well as property reserves in the so-called “Telekom City”. The municipal assembly has now approved the new zoning plan for the site, allowing the Austrian real estate development and investment company to develop office properties with a maximum of 77,500 square metres of space. Warimpex acquired the property and the hotel in 2019. The hotel was refurbished and is now being successfully managed under Accor Group’s “greet” brand.
WEST YARD 29
Warimpex is in the advanced planning phase for the first office development at the site, WEST YARD 29. The modern office building will offer 13,800 square metres of space over several floors and meet the highest standards with regard to sustainable and environmentally friendly construction. For example, roof and facade greening, photovoltaic systems, and mobility concepts with sharing offers are planned. With its central location in the German Engineering Region, the site is ideally connected to various facilities in the city, the main train station and Frankfurt Airport, and also benefits from its immediate proximity to the greet Hotel.
Darmstadt as a location
Darmstadt, the “city of science”, has been the number one future location in the German Economic Institute’s ranking for years. No other German city is home to more high-tech companies, top-class education and research institutions. As such, Darmstadt offers the best conditions for science and education in all of Germany.
